Just five minutes from the bridge of Rio - Antirrio "Charilaos Trikoupis" you can meet the Botanical Garden "Zelios GI".

A small paradise on earth where the Zelios family created with passion, special elegance and after a decade of work.

It is located just 25 kilometers from the picturesque Nafpaktos and 20 kilometers from the historic Messolonghi in the location "Aidoni" in the region of Chalkia, in the Municipality of Nafpaktia.

Entering the central gate of the garden, the visitor realizes that this is a unique and special place where the images and smells of the plants will enchant you.

In total, on more than 10 acres of land next to the river Evinos, the "Zelios GI" Botanical garden spreads, including about 3,500 plants in 6 themed gardens.

Aromatic, medicinal, seasoning herbs, common and rare species of the Greek flora as well as horticultural ones, each of them has a special place in the garden.

The garden, apart from being a lung of greenery and mental calm, also has an educational character, as all the plants grown have their own history. Experiential activities related to pottery and the manufacture of cast aluminum objects are carried out in the space, by specialized craftsmen who know the secrets of the art. In the center of the garden, dominates the glass tower of recycling, which gathers all the eyes of the visitors. It was made in just two years, entirely by Vasilios Zelios and required approximately 12,500 glass bottles. In any case, the experience of the visit is special and remains unforgettable for the visitor of the "Zelios GI" botanical garden.
